AGA Curriculum
Our homeschool aims to raise the next generation as distinct global leaders. We nurture our students in Christian environments with Christian values and ways. We keep high academic expectations and standards with rigorous courses and curriculum based on the CCSS, NSFE, and AERO, as well as provide a wide range of engaging arts courses to stimulate creativity, expression, and ingenuity.
- Our calling is to all nations. We teach English—the most commonly spoken language throughout the world—so that students can engage in conversations in English when God sends them out to all nations.
- Students are trained not only in linguistic communication, both verbal and written, but also in cognitive understanding—comprehension, reasoning, and analytical thinking.
- Discernment is key. Students read different types of texts and learn to discern the underlying worldview and worldly messages in light of the Christian view and Christian values.
- Students learn to speak the language, communicate opinions, debate their arguments, discuss issues, and persuade in both verbal and written form.
- The ultimate goal is for students to use the English language as a weapon to spread the gospel throughout all nations.
- Mathematics is a discipline that reveals God's order of creation through symbols, letters, and numbers. Therefore, we strengthen the foundations of mathematics so that we may ultimately fulfill the words of Genesis 1:27–28.
- Students develop mathematical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.
- Students master accurate and rapid computation, as well as the ability to conceptualize shapes through mental imagery.
- By following an American-style curriculum, students will understand and speak all numbers and mathematical terms and concepts in English.
- Science is taught based on the Word of God. Science is a gift God has given us to use. Students will develop eyes to discover the vastness, intricacy, and beauty of the world God has created.
- There are deceptive spirits that hinder people from knowing God. One of them, evolution, will be examined in depth—what it is and how it differs from creationism.
- Establishing identity in God—as children of God, citizens of the Kingdom of God, and God's creation.
- Students learn obedience within the order God has established (family, church, and school).
- Through Scripture, students are taught Christian views to critically think and discern modern culture, economics, politics, and history.
- Students learn their native language, Korean, and become able to read, write, listen, and speak Korean fluently.
- To address potential imbalances or confusion that may arise from learning Korean and English simultaneously, we approach them not merely as subjects but as languages, helping students use both languages confidently.
- We train students to use the linguistic abilities God has given them to come to know Him more deeply.
- This course is based on 1 Chronicles 25:7 and aims to develop skilled worshipers who offer worship in spirit and in truth.
- Practical training is provided—including breathing, vocalization, and vocal techniques—to be of real help in leading and participating in worship.
- Through theory-based instruction grounded in Scripture, students are trained to become better instruments of worship.
- The essence of music lies in praising God and delighting in Him. Music will be taught based on worship and praise songs. Students will learn music through instruments such as the guitar or ukulele, and through what they learn, will ultimately be established as worshipers.
- Music praises God and helps people connect with Him. It also enables spiritual and emotional communication and sharing between God and people, and among people themselves, transcending the limits of spoken language. Students will learn how to worship together, play music together, and create music together.
- The most dominant music of our time is popular music, and we want to help students discern the messages and spiritual meaning embedded in worldly music by examining them in the light of God's Word.
- This course is rooted in Genesis 1:31 and aims to teach art that is pleasing in the sight of God, our Creator. It is an educational journey in which students discover, experience, and cultivate the spirit of creativity that God has poured into us—created in His image and reflecting His character.
- From an early age, engaging in experiences that use our senses plays an important role in the development of creativity. Through interactive, multisensory activities, students will naturally enjoy and explore art, making learning more effective and meaningful.
- Art is another form of worship offered to God. It is a means of expressing the heart and a creative gift given by God. We will teach students to use this gift for God and help them reveal His love and truth through art.
- Art shapes culture and deeply influences our lives. In unseen ways, it forms the thoughts and values of many people. We will teach students to use art as a tool to shine God's light in this generation and to express good and godly influence.
- Through the movement and process of Taekwondo training, students will be trained to break through fear by faith in Jesus, to obey in faith, and to live with humility and joy.
- Though they possess strength, students will be taught to exercise self-control with the love of Jesus, and to go out into the world as those who reveal Christ.
- We will be raised up to become the next generation who, just as Jesus first reached out His hand to lift us up, will go out into the world to reach out, comfort, encourage, and help others rise again.
- The course teaches, in light of 1 Corinthians 6:19, that this body God has given us is a holy temple in which the Holy Spirit dwells.
- Through physical training, students can strengthen their bodies and learn perseverance.
- Students learn cooperation and order, developing attitudes that enable them to work together and expand discipline within a community.
- Students train to build a strong and healthy body, capable of carrying out the mission of evangelism. They prepare the body God has given us to go forth to the nations.
- We train our bodies so that we may offer more wholehearted and vigorous worship, and deeper, more powerful praise.
